Description: Project 18 is Meerapfel Créateur Cigar’s annual expression of rarity, with each vintage created as a singular blend that will never be repeated. The number 18, representing life, is at the heart of the project: only 180 chests are produced, each containing 99 cigars. The blend draws on four centuries of Meerapfel family tobacco heritage, including precious Cameroon wrapper leaves aged for decades in the natural vaults of Maison Meerapfel. Following rolling, the cigars return to the Maison to mature in specially crafted Paulownia wood crates, allowing the tobaccos to marry and develop their characteristic finesse and smoothness. The 2026 expression opens with the character of exceptionally dark Belgian chocolate, bringing deep cocoa, dark sweetness, and a soft, powdery texture, with layers that continue to evolve throughout the cigar. Each chest is finished in Paulownia wood and includes 99 cigars, two Bleu de Vie cigar tubes, embroidered satin ribbons, a numbered side seal, and a hand-finished lithography card. With only 180 chests produced, Project 18 is allocated to a select group of tobacconists and collectors and will not be reproduced once the vintage is gone.
