Description: Legend has it Cuesta-Rey was once the cigar of choice for the King of Spain—back in the late 1800s when it still boasted Cuban roots—before finding a new royal court with J.C. Newman in Tampa and eventually being crafted today by Arturo Fuente in the Dominican Republic. Fast forward to 2002, when J.C. Newman decided to spice things up with the Centro Fino Sungrown line, dialing up the boldness with a special Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper grown under full sun for extra strength and richness. The “Centro Fino” name? That’s cigar-speak for the sweet spot of the tobacco plant—right in the middle—where balance and consistency reign supreme (think of it as the filet mignon of leaves). The result is a Pyramid No. 9 that delivers a deliciously smooth yet complex ride, layering nutty richness with hints of honey, nougat, and chocolate, and finishing with a big, buttery cashew flourish.
