Viaje Cigar Company has officially launched its most enigmatic project to date: the Viaje One of One. Moving away from the high-concept themes of years past, founder Andre Farkas has turned the focus toward the individual artisan, creating a series that celebrates the unique hand of the cigar roller.
True to the brand’s "small batch" philosophy, the One of One is a one-time production run. Once the current inventory is exhausted, the blend and specific vitolas will be retired permanently.
The Artisan Philosophy
The "One of One" concept stems from the idea that no two handmade cigars are truly identical. By highlighting the nuances of the tobacco and the specific touch of the roller, Viaje is offering enthusiasts a product that prioritizes character over mass-market uniformity.
In keeping with Viaje’s tradition of "black box" secrets, the company has declined to release specific blend details regarding the wrapper, binder, or filler.
Available Vitolas
The release is comprised of three distinct shapes, each shipping in 30-count boxes. Production is strictly limited, with fewer than 200 boxes of each size produced for worldwide distribution.
-
Tailwind: A $6 ¾ \times 52 \times 56$ Torpedo.
-
Bulwark: A $6 \times 56$ Perfecto.
-
Outer Edge: A $5 ¼ \times 54$ Gran Robusto.
Availability at Jack Schwartz
As a premier Viaje retailer, Jack Schwartz Importer has secured a limited allocation of all three vitolas. Given the "One of One" status of this project, collectors are encouraged to act quickly, as no future shipments of this blend are expected.
